Starlink’s Satellite Internet Service Kicks Off in Kazakhstan

(MENAFN) Starlink satellite internet officially launched in Kazakhstan on Wednesday, according to a statement from the country’s Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry.

This new service will allow residents nationwide to connect to a dependable internet network through Starlink's constellation of low-orbit satellites. It also promises to provide stable connectivity in even the most remote and challenging locations, broadening access to essential digital services, the ministry confirmed.

On June 12, the ministry entered into a formal agreement with Starlink, mandating that the company adhere to Kazakhstan’s national regulations while delivering its services.

Developed by SpaceX, the satellite internet service, owned by U.S. tech mogul Elon Musk, offers high-speed, low-latency broadband access, with a particular focus on areas where traditional internet infrastructure is either limited or non-existent.
